Grenades...Arkansans Go to War
May is Heritage Month in
Arkansas and the Jacksonville Museum of Military
History is doing its part by hosting From
Hay Bales to Hand Grenades...Arkansans Go To
War on Saturday May 17th, 2008. There
will be special exhibits, documentaries and
lectures that will focus on how Arkansans went
from working on rural Arkansas farms to working
in bomb factories and to using those bombs on the
battlefield. We will also host a chili cook-off
and close the day with a flag retirement
ceremony. Admission to the museum is free for
that day.
