Scope Statement
The purpose of
the Jacksonville Museum of Military History is to
foster an appreciation for the men and women who served
our country and to ensure that the freedoms we enjoy are
not taken for granted. It is also to educate the public
on the important military and home front role played by
our Community and the men and women of the armed
services.

Museum Building Program
The
Museum is located in the site which, in World War II was
the location of the administration building of the
Jacksonville Ordnance Plant. This site now has 4,500
square feet building, with an additional 10,000 square
foot area of new construction behind it.
There
are many permanent and special exhibits located in
the Museum's galleries. In addition, there is a
Museum Store, a media presentation room and
projection room and a research/library room.
All
areas are Handicapped Accessible.

Directions to the Museum
Take
Highway 67/167 to Jacksonville, Arkansas.
Take Exit 9 onto West Main St. and go aproximately 4/10
of a mile.
At the Post Office, turn LEFT onto Veterans' Circle and
we are adjacent to the Veterans' Memorial.
