Arkansas Gold Star Mothers
No greater love hath a man than to lay down his life for a friend.
No greater sacrifice hath a parent than to lay down their child for the cause of freedom.
Each year on Gold Star Mother's Day the United States President calls on all Americans to display the nation's flag and hold appropriate meetings to publicly express their love, sorrow, and reverence for Gold Star Mothers and their families.
On Sunday, September 30, 2012, the Jacksonville Museum of Military History invites you to join us as we honor Arkansas’ Gold Star Mothers and Families. The event will include a Gold Star Mothers Ceremony followed by a Fellowship Reception.
In Summary:
Event: Gold Star Mothers Honor Ceremony (Seating is limited to the first 100)
Fellowship Reception (hosted by the Daughters of the American Revolution/Major Jacob Gray Chapter and the Children of the American Revolution/The Rock Chapter)
Museum will be open for touring during the reception at no charge
